Gabriele Pennacchioli works in the art department at Dreamworks. He has worked on films including How to Train Your Dragon,The Croods as well as the recent film Love Death and Robots.
This long out of print sketchbook is deceptively simple but in its limited use of line and line quality demonstrates how a true master handles character design so elegantly. Fans of Alex Toth may recognize the influence. What I remember most about Gabriele, besides the awesome artwork was his charmingly thick Italian accent. A lovely man and a true inspiration.
